We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and like-minded Registered Mental Health Nurses who share our vision and values.

Amblescroft North is a 20-bedded later life ward, providing an excellent opportunity to work with service users presenting with a range of mental health needs in crisis.

If successful, you will be part of a supportive, cohesive multidisciplinary team caring for service users on an inpatient later life ward. You should demonstrate effectiveness in ensuring continuity of care and implementing trust policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake comprehensive, person-centred nursing assessments and prepare care plans in consultation with service users to deliver optimal nursing care.
  2. Implement care and rehabilitation programmes.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of care in partnership with service users.
  4. Apply research-based practice.
  5. Post-preceptorship, supervise junior and unqualified staff.
  6. Administer medication in accordance with Trust and legislative guidance, including NMC Standards for Medicines Management 2010 and the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
  7. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies for individual clients, including ICPA/SAP for those presenting mental health challenges.
  8. Maintain knowledge of relevant mental health legislation.
  9. Ensure medication ordering, storage, administration, and disposal comply with relevant policies and legislation.
