A healthcare recruitment agency is inviting applications for Registered Nurses dedicated to older adult mental health on the Island of Guernsey. Applications are invited from Registered Nurses with a genuine commitment to working with older people to join the comprehensive Older Adult Mental Health service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The unit is a 15-bedded ward dedicated to caring for patients with behaviours that challenge. This opportunity is open to Mental Health or General/Adult Nurses.
Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system but has applied its own salary scale. The current Band 5 salary range is £38,744 to £49,970, plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements: 36% for evenings/Saturdays and 72% for Sundays/Public Holidays.
Annual leave starts at 36 days, up to 42 days, with full credit for NHS service for both annual and sick leave.

This unique integrated health service provides a diverse range of healthcare services within the hospital and in the wider community.
The Older Adult Mental Health Service includes four inpatient centres, from assessment wards to later stages of dementia care, as well as Community Day Services. They have recently launched an Island-wide Dementia Framework to make Guernsey Dementia Friendly, ensuring older residents are valued and treated with dignity and respect.
All of this relies on recruiting nurses of excellent calibre to a very high standard.
