Join us for the Band 5 Staff Nurse - Broadgreen Daycase Unit Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust role at River Alliance of Wisconsin.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool, for a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our well-established team of motivated and committed nursing staff within the Broadgreen Daycase Unit.

The ward offers a supportive working environment with opportunities to develop clinical skills. It is ideal for those starting their nursing career or for more experienced nurses seeking further development.

We aim to provide high-quality nursing care. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills and a commitment to improving patient experience.

You will need to show ongoing professional development and a strong desire to develop others, working closely within a multidisciplinary team.

The post holder will work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing patient admission and discharge, including elective services for Orthopaedics, Limb Reconstruction, Breast, and General Surgery.
  2. Providing pre- and post-operative care for Daycase patients, transferring patients to wards, and discharge planning.
  3. Training to work in our LASU (Local Anaesthetic Surgical Unit).
  4. Collaborating with the MDT team.
  5. Supporting student nurses in the workplace.

The ideal candidate must be driven to learn new skills, patient-focused, positive role model, and a team player. Excellent communication, flexibility, and a commitment to positive patient experiences are essential.
