Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s Bradley Brook ward is a specialist 8-bed PICU within Fromeside Medium Secure Unit in Bristol. The role is a Full Time Band 5 Staff Nurse with opportunities for development within a multidisciplinary team.

The unit provides assessment, treatment and recovery-focused care for men with complex mental health needs in a secure environment, emphasising safety, dignity and therapeutic engagement.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating kindness, respect and compassion
• Helping to keep people safe through good risk assessment and good clinical practice
• Helping to develop coproduced plans of care, which are personalised and responsive to peoples needs
• Providing health promotion information to service users and carers
• Undertaking effective treatment supported and delivered in line with current legislation, standards and evidence based guidance
• Providing supervision and mentoring to other staff and students
• Being part of the AWP vision to provide high quality care

Job description

Bradley Brook is 8 bedded specialist admission and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) ward within Fromeside Medium Secure Unit, providing assessment, treatment and recovery-focused care for men with complex mental health needs in a secure environment. The ward delivers high-quality, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary setting, supporting service users through their recovery journey while maintaining safety, dignity and therapeutic engagement.

We are recruiting 2 Full Time Substantive and 1 Full Time 12 month Secondment Band 5 Staff Nurse
