Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust in London is seeking a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing SLT team at Newham University Hospital, working across Acute Medicine and Stroke Services to support adults with complex communication and swallowing needs.

You will undertake assessments, manage treatment plans, provide rehabilitation, contribute to MDT meetings, deliver teaching to colleagues, and benefit from regular supervision, in-house training and access to CPD opportunities within one

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage adults with communication and swallowing difficulties in acute medicine and stroke wards.
• Deliver rehabilitation plans, monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Represent SLT in MDT meetings and ward rounds; contribute to teaching and training of staff.
