Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) invites applications for a physiotherapist to join a 6-month fixed-term post with rotations across inpatient rehabilitation wards and units. The role offers exposure to sub-acute rehabilitation, stroke and neurological rehabilitation, and an intermediate care setting, with opportunities to develop clinical skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment for clients within individual and group sessions.
• Rotations cover multiple inpatient rehabilitation units including sub-acute and neurological rehabilitation settings.
• Work within interdisciplinary teams and maintain client-centred practice.
• Receive regular supervision, training and appraisal to support development.

Job description

This post will be for 6 month fixed term contract This post will comprise of 6 month rotations within the inpatient therapy services, each providing the opportunity to develop clinical skills in a supportive environment. The rotations include: Ward 6, Moseley Hall Hospital - Sub-acute Inpatient Rehabilitation UnitWard 12, West Heath Hospital - Sub-acute Inpatient Rehabilitation UnitWard 8, Moseley Hall Hospital - Inpatient Stroke and Neurological Rehabilitation Unit.Ward 9, Moseley Hall Hospital - Neurological Rehabilitation UnitAnne Marie Howes - Inpatient Intermediate Care Unit.

• Please note that BCHC is currently undertaking a Future Operating Model restructure, some of the existing rotation options may no longer be available. However, there may be additional opportunities that arise as the new structure develops

You will receive regular supervision, training and appraisal to support your development needs.
