Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, you will:

• Monitor and care for patients in serious or unstable conditions
• Support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients and their families, communicating effectively
• Prepare and check equipment required for operating lists
• Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct
• Perform patient observations and procedures such as blood tests and cannula fittings
• Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals
• Organise patient admissions and discharges

Qualifications and Certifications

Essential:

• Registered Nurse status
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
• Pass an enhanced background check
