Your clinical knowledge and experience will support seriously ill patients and their families during what can be a stressful and uncertain time. You will carry out essential tasks such as:

• Taking blood samples
• Undertaking patient observations for post-surgery patients
• Handling emergency and planned admissions

Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse with Sussex Community, you will:

• Provide constant monitoring and care for seriously ill or unstable patients.
• Support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients.
• Effectively communicate clinical information using various methods.
• Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble equipment required for procedures.
• Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
• Take blood samples, fit cannulas, and perform patient observations.
• Write care plans, conduct assessments, and make referrals.
• Organise patient admissions and discharges.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (NMC registration required)
• At least 2 years post-graduate experience
• 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
• Enhanced background check clearance
