Job Title: Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)
Band:Band 5
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear
Working Hours:37.5 hours
Rate:Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our private client’s team in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear. This locum position offers an immediate start for a short-term contract, providing a fantastic opportunity for a passionate professional to bring their expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment.

What will your responsibilities be?

As the successful candidate, your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive mental health assessments. You will evaluate patients to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, you will formulate individualised care plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals. You will be responsible for regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals and adjusting care plans as needed to optimise care. Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach.

You will maintain and coordinate timely and appropriate interventions through holistic assessment for a caseload of service users of any age living in the community within the framework of CPA, and in line with the acute care pathway as outlined within the CMHT operational procedure.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • You must be BABCP registered
  • Proven experience in the relevant field
