We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic early careerOrthoptist to join the department based at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth.You will join a forward thinking department of 5.8 WTE Orthoptists and 4Optometrists. The Ophthalmology department has 15 Ophthalmologists, three ofwhich specialise in paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility.
The successful candidate will be keen to develop their knowledge andskills, be a flexible and reliable member of the team and will enjoy working ina fast-paced environment. This is a preceptorship post and upon completion ofthe Trust AHP and BIOS preceptorship programmes there will be opportunity toprogress to Band 6 within this role. You will be supported by a mentorthroughout your preceptorship journey.
Candidates must have a degree/diploma in Orthoptics and currentregistration with HCPC is essential.
