It is an exciting time to join our team in BSW, as we transform our services and patient care.

Job Introduction

We are looking for a Band 5 Podiatrist. Both full and part-time hours are available. Flexible working and compressed hours can be discussed at interview. The caseload involves high-risk care, with opportunities to participate in nail surgery and MSK rotations to develop your skills further.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implement and review a mentorship and perceptorship programme for newly qualified graduates as part of the PDR process.
  • Provide podiatry assessments and interventions for referred patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and discharge of evidence-based interventions in various locations, including patients’ homes and community settings.
  • Manage a caseload including complex cases, demonstrating autonomous practice, problem-solving, and high-level reasoning skills.
  • Promote health and reduce inequalities through health education and promotion.

The Ideal Candidate

The candidate will provide care across Wiltshire, with opportunities for professional development and CPD. Requirements include:

  • A Professional Degree or equivalent in Podiatry and current HCPC registration.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a car for community visits.
  • Confidence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
