The Physiotherapy team at Pulse are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Physiotherapist in Watford. Previous experience of working in NHS is essential for this role.

Position: Physiotherapist
Banding: 6 and 7

Payrate: £24-27 per hour
Location: Watford
Hours: 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 including bank holidays. If successful, you will be expected to work on rota’d weekends, bank holidays, and late shifts as required by the service.
Duration: Ongoing

Essential skills:

  • HCPC registered
  • Lead discharge assessment and planning of patients on the wards, from advanced planning prior to discharge to the point of onward transfer, with a proactive case management approach drawing on nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or discharge skills depending on professional background
  • Collaborate as part of the Transfer of Care Hub team and with ward-based multidisciplinary teams and community health and social care partners, to agree on complex discharge plans reflecting patients' ongoing care needs and wishes
  • Lead on coordinating early discharge to ensure patients leave hospital within 24 hours of being medically optimized, minimizing delays, improving inpatient flow, and reducing clinical deconditioning
  • Identify and escalate potential discharge delays, and lead problem-solving and case review meetings as needed
  • Promote safe and effective discharge practices throughout the Trust and act as a resource for expert advice and guidance
  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy
