Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 5 or Band 6 District/Community Nurse in Guildford, Hampshire. This ongoing role offers flexible hours and both full-time or part-time contracts, with an hourly pay of £22.00 to £28.00.

You will conduct holistic assessments and develop care plans in patients’ homes, delivering wound management, catheter care, medication administration, and palliative care. Travel to Haslemere, Guildford and Waverley areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with active NMC registration.
• Band 6 requires district nursing qualification or specialist community qualification.
• Band 5 requires practical experience from pre-registration or post-registration training.
• Must be able to drive to sites around Haslemere / Guildford / Waverley.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical interventions including wound management, catheter care, medication administration, and palliative care.

• Efficiently manage and prioritise an assigned caseload, swiftly responding to evolving clinical needs.
• Participate in community response and admission avoidance initiatives to help patients remain safely at home.
• Provide some travel support to sites around the Haslemere, Guildford, and Waverley areas when needed.

Person Specification

• Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification with an active Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
• District Nursing qualification or a specialist community qualification is desirable for Band 6 roles.
• For Band 5 roles, practical experience through pre-registration placements or post-registration nursing is essential.
• For Band 6 roles, significant post-registration experience within the community or district nursing is required.
• Must Be A Car Driver – Must be able to drive to sites around the Haslemere/Guildford/Waverley area
