We welcome applications from current Band 5 staff or recent graduates with a strong interest and a commitment to developing skills and expertise in delivering quality interventions to service users accessing our community mental health teams. We have permanent and fixed term 18 month positions available. Our CMHTs are part of our Integrated Community Care and Recovery Directorate (ICCR), and the successful applicant will join our team of Band 6, Apprentice and Technical Instructors, managed by a Band 7 Clinical Lead and Manager.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about recovery, co-production, and will be able to engage with service users in developing personalised care that is meaningful to them and promotes their wellbeing.
We can offer you a preceptorship and mentoring during your first year in post and training opportunities to support your career development. ICCR also has an active peer support and online led CPD meeting and we have access to role specific training. You will be managed by OT managers, receive caseload management, regular management and clinical supervision. OT staff have access to a wide range of wellbeing support, job planning leadership opportunities. We also offer support for flexible working and those returning from career breaks. Our managers are committed to developing an open learning environment where staff can share good practice, work on community service developments, QI and Leadership projects.
Our CMHT Teams are committed to providing the best care and our staff are encouraged to develop their clinical skills as OTs and to contribute effectively as MDT members. All OTs carry caseloads, are involved in triage and assessment and aim to deliver care consistent with our Trust values and strategic priorities. As part of an OT team, you will work closely with other OT and MDT members, escalating cases of concern when needed and being involved with multi-agency working, including third sector and statutory organisations.
