A healthcare provider in Bristol is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work within a medium secure unit. The role involves assessing service users' occupational functioning and implementing interventions that promote social inclusion and recovery. The ideal candidate values collaboration and professional development within a supportive team environment. Diversity is embraced, encouraging applications from all backgrounds.
Fromeside is a regional medium secure unit, providing a service to 81 in-patient service users with mental health needs. The role works with a ward that offers inpatient care to men who have a learning disability and/or autism spectrum disorder in a medium secure setting.
On joining the team, you will receive a comprehensive structured induction package. We run monthly CPD sessions to ensure we are up to date with best practice and developing ideas. Within the team and across the wider service, we promote all aspects of continuing professional development. We meet monthly as a group of registered Occupational Therapists to focus on developing our assessment and reporting skills and to take part in additional training opportunities for expanding our skillset.
Due to the complex nature of the work and the environment, we place great value upon supervision. Each member of the team will receive at least monthly clinical supervision, monthly management supervision and the opportunity to attend monthly reflective practice with the wider team.
