We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join the team in one of the major mental health Trust in the Northwest. In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and care planning for patients within acute hospital settings. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that patients receive timely and effective mental health care, integrating physical and mental health support.

Description:

You will be instrumental in delivering high standards of care, working closely with registered staff to assist with and carry out a range of duties in line with individual care and treatment plans for patients and service users. You will ensure that patients, service users, and their carers are at the center of care and treatment planning, demonstrating respect and compassion at all times.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support the clinical team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Assist with and carry out duties in line with individual care and treatment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, service users, and their carers to ensure they receive the best care possible.
  • Contribute to maintaining the high standards of care that align with Mersey Care's commitment to "perfect care."

Experience:

  • Registered Nurse - Mental Health / Learning Disability
  • Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of knowledge of mental health practice from previous experience
  • Demonstrate effective risk assessment and risk management experience
  • Knowledge of counselling skills/cognitive behavioural skills/psychosocial interventions/brief solution focused therapy
  • Experience in delivery of clinical interventions
  • Experience in working in team delivering person centred treatment packages
