Exciting opportunities have arisen to join the 5 to 11 Leicestershire and Rutland school nursing team. Our team works within Public Health Nursing to deliver the Healthy Child Programme. We are pleased to offer full and part-time job opportunities, with location to be discussed at interview. Our core working hours are 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Public Health Nursing seeks to promote and protect the health of children and young people by promoting healthy lifestyles and reducing the likelihood of ill health through the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme. It is central to giving children the best start in life and helping them reach their full potential. We offer early intervention for physical and mental health issues, referring to specialist services as required.
We would love to meet enthusiastic and self-motivated nurses. Our teams are busy, high-achieving, and dynamic, consisting of committed and skilled individuals dedicated to delivering the best possible care for children and their families. School nursing offers a range of services tailored to meet the needs of the local population, including a well-developed digital offer.

As a registered nurse, you will work within an integrated neighbourhood team supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 services, focusing on children aged 0-11 years in Leicestershire & Rutland.
Working within Healthy Together, you will contribute to improving access, identifying health needs, enhancing outcomes, and reducing health inequalities by providing a comprehensive neighbourhood-based service tailored to local children, young people, and families.
The role emphasizes a whole-family approach, focusing on prevention of ill health, promotion of positive health and well-being, and collaboration with the wider community.
