The Endoscopy unit at Chasefarm is one of The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust hospitals and is located in the beautiful green area of Enfield! Newly built hospital, under 5 years and very digitally engaged as it provides exceptional care to all patients.

The endoscopy unit boast technically advanced equipment and accessories to help in diagnosing and treating all gastroenterology, respiratory and colorectal patients. The unit is JAG accredited and display high standards of care .

Main duties of the job

The service is a nurse led discharge unit and nurses will receive robust training in order to be competent at discharging patients.

Successful candidate will also be assisting mostly in the procedure rooms and this will involve training in the use of the many endoscopy accessories used.

Knowledge of decontamination of scopes , completing traceability of scopes and an introduction to the decontamination unit.

Duties also include training on using the various Point of Care devices used in Endoscopy as we monitor patients pre, during and post procedures.

Training in the use of EPR to document patient pathway
