Qualifications

Overview

Are you recently qualified as a Dietitian or due to qualify and wishing to consolidate your dietetic experience? We welcome final year student applications. Tailored employment options allow you to commence in post as a Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner until you receive your HCPC registration. You will be joining our Dietetic team to help deliver a service to a range of adult inpatient wards as well as supporting outpatient services. As we are an integrated service, there are opportunities to work across both acute and community settings. We are a very friendly, hardworking and supportive team and would love to welcome you to join us!

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a dietetic service to designated adult inpatient wards, including stroke, acute medicine, surgery, gastroenterology and oncology, and provide regular outpatient clinics with support from a supervising Dietitian.
  • Work across both acute and community settings within an integrated service.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, service development, and the provision of education and training for patients and staff.
  • Gain experience with Specialist Dietitians in areas such as Parenteral Nutrition, Critical Care, Diabetes, Paediatrics, Weight Management and Bariatrics; participate in regular supervision and CPD activities.
  • Develop core clinical skills and participate in a supported learning program and preceptorship for newly qualified staff.

  • Recently qualified or due to qualify as a Dietitian; final year students are welcome to apply.
  • Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner post available until HCPC registration is obtained.
  • Application or registration with HCPC as a Dietitian is required.
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills.
