TheCivilian Dental Practice Manager (CDPM) will provide administrative managementand clinical support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary HealthCare Dental Centres (DC), to enhance force generation and operationalcapability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.
Thisis to include maintenance of clinical sessions, on average at least 1 sessionper week, prioritised and directed from the DC Senior Dental Officer(SDO)/Regional RHQ chain of command as required. The timings for such sessionswill depend on local staffing levels (effected by staff absence/localdetachment/illness etc) to provide Dental Nurse cover.
TheCivilian Dental Practice Manger (CDPM) will, when in surgery be required todelegate some management tasks to Agenda for Change Band 4 Dental Nurse(s) asis normal in a dental centre.
Thesuccessful applicant for this CDPM role are required to gain the qualificationin the Joint Dental Practice Managers Course within 12mths of starting in role.

The role of a Band 5 Civilian Dental Practice Manager covers both administrative and clinical duties.
