The post involves assessing patients' care needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating care programs independently. The role may include educating and supervising learners, and occasionally being in charge of the ward or shift, supervising and coordinating staff as appropriate, and developing oneself and others professionally.

Our facilities include the Women’s Health Hub in Ilford, the Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch, and Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub in Hornchurch. These centres operate 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing an additional 88,000 scans annually.
