Job Title: Locum Haematology Biomedical Scientist

Banding: Band 5 and Band 6

Location: London, Greater London

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Rate: £25-£30 per month

Working hours: Monday to Friday

An excellent opportunity has arisen for Band 5 and Band 6 Biomedical Scientists to join a busy and well-equipped Haematology laboratory in London. This ongoing locum role is ideal for professionals looking to develop or expand their experience in a high-performing diagnostic environment. The successful candidates will contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely haematological testing to support patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing and analysing a wide range of haematology samples, including full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film morphology.
  • Operating automated analysers and performing manual techniques.
  • Maintaining quality control and ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols.
  • Collaborating with clinical and laboratory teams to ensure efficient service delivery and accurate reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in diagnostic haematology.
