Based in a residential school just outside of Market Rasen, we are seeking dedicated and skilled Speech & Language Therapists to join our team. Our school specializes in supporting people aged 14-19 years who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, severe and complex learning difficulties, global development delay, and associated challenging behavior. The site is beautiful, featuring a farm and plentiful outdoor equipment. Our inclusive way of working ensures that the people we support have a voice and can be actively involved in their care. What will your responsibilities be:

  • Carry out assessments of individuals within the service in relation to communication needs using assessment tools as required by the individual, making use of senior support as needed.
  • Formulate intervention plans from thorough assessments with individuals and their families and carers to bring about positive changes to their communication skills, thereby enhancing their opportunities to access and engage in a range of life experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to co-produce goals to support the achievement of aspirational outcomes as part of ‘One Plan’ across settings.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case/progress notes and write reports reflecting clinical knowledge.
  • Be open to developing Dysphagia competency for the assessment and management of swallowing difficulties.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registered
