Main Duties & Responsibilities

As a Band 5 A&E Nurse with Royal Free, you will:

  • Provide constant monitoring and care for patients in seriously ill or unstable conditions.
  • Support emergency admissions and their families, ensuring effective communication of clinical information.
  • Assess and prioritise patient requirements, delegating effectively.
  • Recognise, review, and report changes in patient conditions to senior medical staff.
  • Adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct.
  • Take blood samples, fit cannulas, and conduct patient observations.
  • Treat resuscitation patients and manage triage cases.
Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC registration required)
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience
  • 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years
  • Enhanced background check clearance
