Are you an experienced Biomedical Scientist with Histology expertise seeking a rewarding locum role in Cheshire? We have an excellent opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Histology Biomedical Scientist Band 5/6
Location: Cheshire
Duration: 3 month rolling contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £20 - 26 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you'll play a vital role in providing top-quality diagnostic services. In this role, your duties will include:

  1. Performing histology lab tests and preparing samples for diagnostic analysis
  2. Carrying out microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures
  3. Ensuring adherence to high laboratory standards and proper sample handling
  4. Collaborating with senior scientists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  5. Contributing to the development and implementation of quality control protocols
  6. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care

Requirements & Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. Strong experience in Histology, including microtomy and embedding
  2. Knowledge of laboratory testing and specimen preparation techniques
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. A dedication to providing high-quality, efficient laboratory services
  5. Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, with 37.5 hours per week, and there is some flexibility where needed. The initial contract is for 2 months which will be on a rolling basis, subject to performance and service needs.
