Band 5 & 6 Registered Theatres Nurse – Newham Hospital – Barts Health NHS Trust

Pulse Nursing are seeking Band 5 & 6 Registered Theatres Nurses to join the team at Barts Health NHS Trust. A high volume of shifts is available; Pulse healthcare professionals have priority access to shifts. Opportunity to book in advance with flexible patterns, including full-time equivalent hours. Shifts paid between £19.72 - £38.23 per hour.

As a Band 5 & 6 Theatres Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective perioperative care. You will rotate across specialties including scrub, anaesthetics, and recovery to ensure high-quality care before, during, and after procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative care in line with evidence-based practice and hospital protocols.
  • Assist in preparing the operating theatre and ensuring equipment is available and functioning.
  • Support the surgical team as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or anaesthetic nurse, depending on rotation and patient needs.
  • Monitor patients during surgery and in the recovery phase, providing critical care support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.
Role Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
  • Passion for perioperative care and commitment to high nursing standards.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting.
  • Meet framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV.
  • Right to work within the UK; proof will be required.
