We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic individual eager to make a difference for women, their partners, and families to join our team.

The BSW Specialist Community Perinatal Mental Health Team is a multidisciplinary team providing support for women experiencing moderate to severe or complex perinatal mental health issues, or at high risk of relapse during pregnancy and postpartum. Our work focuses on supporting mothers' mental health and strengthening their relationship with their baby. We also offer training, consultation, and advice to other professionals and agencies involved in perinatal care.

This position covers the BaNES and Swindon area. The team operates a hybrid model, with a main hub in Chippenham and additional sites in Swindon, Bath, and South Wiltshire, alongside remote working.

Access to personal transport is essential due to unreliable public transportation in parts of the area.

Main duties of the job

The team provides assessments, treatments, and psychological interventions to address mental health issues and improve mother-infant relationships. The role involves supporting the team, particularly band 6 clinicians, in delivering these services.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include managing a caseload, planning and delivering recovery-focused interventions, building hopeful relationships, and working collaboratively with service users and their carers.
