Job Title: Band 4 Occupational Therapy Technician

Trust: North London NHS Foundation Trust

Location: Chase Farm Hospital

Ward: Enfield Acute Inpatient Therapy Team

Pay Rates: £15.49 per hour

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri - 09:00 - 17:00

Job Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Work alongside the Occupational Therapist during the initial assessment period and support the induction process of the new admissions, including carrying out initial contact/assessments.
  • Liaise with the Occupational Therapist regarding the functional ability of individual patients and implementation of treatment programmes considering both physical and mental health conditions.
  • Support the Occupational Therapist in maintaining the timetable of activities and ensure that changes are communicated to patients appropriately.
  • Facilitate group and individual activity sessions on and off wards, in accordance with directorate policies.
Person Specification
Qualifications
  • You must possess GCSE English and Maths A-C / 4 and above.
  • You will have demonstrable experience of facilitating a range of groups, for example practical/functional groups, leisure groups, and discussion groups.
  • You will have demonstrable experience of motivating people to attend sessions or take part in activities.
  • You must possess an understanding of Occupational Therapy.
