A leading NHS Trust seeks a Band 4 Maintenance Craftsperson with expertise in electrical maintenance and installation across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compliance with safety standards, manage complex fault finding tasks, and maintain a range of electrical equipment. The role includes working closely within a team while adopting new technologies and embracing flexible working arrangements.
Undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across theTrust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standardsand procedures.Performs work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine.Responsible for the calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plantand equipment (electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, building control andautomation, standby generator plant, security access control, CCTV, nurse callsystems and data-communications).
Install, maintain, service and repair a range of electrical equipmentUse computer applications software for accessing, programming and fault diagnosis for the Building Management SystemUndertake fault finding on complex LV networks, critical systems and equipment.Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections and commissioning tests in accordance with Trust proceduresComplete all report sheets and test certificates as necessaryResponsible for undertaking portable electrical equipment and fixed installation testing and general inspectionsTo follow planned maintenance schedulesUndertakes electrical testing and monitors results to ensure compliance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671. Requesting remedial works or emergency isolations as and when required Responsible for undertaking Electrical installations in accordance with the latest edition of the Wiring Regulations BS7671Interprets and follows the regulations at all timesImmediately notifies the Maintenance Supervisor of any deviation from the regulationsFollows detailed engineering drawings and specificationsUses all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of worksUndertakes inspection and commissioning tests for the installation and issues the appropriate completion certificates
