Overview

For the role of Maintenance Carpenter you will need to be keen, enthusiastic and physically fit, working as part of a team at Heartlands Hospital site and Community Properties. The main activities are maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance monitoring and associated remedial work.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance monitoring and associated remedial work at Heartlands Hospital site and Community Properties.
  • Arrange your work, parts and materials and carry out tasks in a safe, tidy manner and be capable of working on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Maintain continuity of service with the flexibility to work extra hours or altered work patterns/duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Good general knowledge of domestic and commercial building services.
  • Knowledge of building structures and fabric, fire compartmentalisation and fire door maintenance.
  • Ability to arrange work, parts and materials and carry out tasks in a safe and tidy manner.
  • Willingness to undertake training to remain current with relevant standards and to adapt to extra hours or altered duties as needed.
