Job Title: Locum Therapy Assistant
Banding: 4
Location: Romford
Rate: £13 – £17 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Full-time

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Locum Therapy Assistant to join the team at Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Romford. This full-time contract offers the opportunity to work in the Emergency Department and Frailty Units, assisting in the delivery of therapeutic services to patients in a busy healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in these settings and be ready to contribute to improving patient outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to gain further experience in a dynamic, patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Therapy Assistant, you will support qualified therapists in providing therapeutic interventions to patients in the Emergency Department and Frailty Units. Key duties will include assisting with patient mobility, aiding in therapeutic exercises, supporting patient assessments, and helping patients with daily living activities. You will play an essential role in maintaining patient records, ensuring patient comfort, and supporting the rehabilitation process. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care will also be a key aspect of your role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in an Emergency Department and Frailty Units is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Therapy Assistant within a healthcare setting, preferably in the NHS.
  • Ability to assist with rehabilitation plans and provide patient care.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
