Job Description:
Barts Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Rehab Support Worker to join our team in Leytonstone on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the rehabilitation team, assisting in the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role is integral to the recovery and well-being of patients, requiring a proactive and compassionate approach to support both patients and staff. The position offers an immediate start and is contracted for 3 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and departmental needs. This will be a 3 month contract with a rate of £13.00 – £17.00 per hour.

What will you be doing in this Physiotherapy role?
The Locum Rehab Support Worker will work closely with the rehabilitation team to implement and monitor patient care plans. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, supporting patients in their rehabilitation exercises, and maintaining accurate records of patient progress. The role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective and holistic patient care. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of individualized care plans and provide emotional support to patients and their families. Ensuring the highest standards of care and adhering to all relevant guidelines and protocols is essential.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Rehabilitation Support Worker.
  • Proven experience in a similar support role, preferably within a rehabilitation setting.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the patients and team.
