Working Hours: Full-time
Rate: £27.65 – £29.52 per hour

Job Description:
We are looking for a Band 4 Locum General Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our Community Stroke Team at Barts Health NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients recovering from strokes in their home environments, contributing to their rehabilitation and overall well-being.

What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapy role?

As a Band 4 Locum General Rehabilitation Support Worker you will assist in delivering rehabilitation programs for patients as directed by the supervising physiotherapist or occupational therapist. You will support patients in their daily activities, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will perform manual handling and mobility assistance to ensure patient safety and comfort. You will monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the clinical team promptly. You will maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies. You will work effectively and independently in the community, providing care to patients in various home environments across Tower Hamlets.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Previous experience working as a rehabilitation support worker is essential.
  • Comfortable with lone working in the community and able to travel around Tower Hamlets.
  • Physically capable of providing manual handling support to patients in their homes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team while also functioning independently.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
