Band 4 Dental Nurse Vacancies - Birmingham Dental Hospital

Are you seeking an exciting career within the NHS? Do you focus on patient care and want to deliver high-quality dental services? We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking dental nurses to join our Community Dental Nursing Team.

We currently have multiple vacancies for Band 4 Dental Nurses, offering a total of 2.8 WTE across full-time, part-time, and evening clinical session positions. Working days will vary depending on the position offered.

The role involves working flexibly within the dental team to provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population, based at Birmingham Dental Hospital (BDH) and possibly other external sites such as Community Dental Services (CDS).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide chairside assistance to clinicians.
2. Carry out clerical and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operation.
3. Maintain high standards of patient care and confidentiality.
4. Prepare and monitor patients during dental treatments, providing pre- and post-operative instructions.
5. Care for dental equipment and instruments, arranging repairs as needed.
6. Ensure emergency drugs and equipment are available and up to date.
7. Assist with general anaesthetic sessions, providing chairside support and postoperative instructions.
8. Offer oral health education to patients.
9. Support the Senior Dental Nurse and help in the smooth running of the dental service.
10. Support and supervise Apprentice Dental Nurses and Undergraduates.
