Job description

Band 4 Assistant Psychologist/Assistant Speech & Language Therapist

This role supports the Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy teams on Cary Ward, focusing on individuals with Learning Disability and Autism. The Assistant will assist with communication and social challenges faced by Service Users. Responsibilities include tasks typical of Assistant Psychologists and supporting Speech and Language Therapists, such as:

1. Under supervision, completing communication screens and informal Speech and Language assessments.
2. Implementing accessible information standards with the ward and across the service.
3. Familiarity with Speech and Language Therapy policies and procedures.
4. Conducting literature reviews of evidence-based practices in Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy.
5. Contributing to research and training initiatives within both disciplines.
