About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hospital pharmacy experience, though we are open to considering candidates with other relevant experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide support and guidance to patients regarding their medications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GPhC registered.
  • Recent hospital experience delivering technical pharmacy services as a qualified technician.
  • Alternatively, recent experience in a community pharmacy setting.Up-to-date knowledge of safe systems of working in Pharmacy.
  • Proficiency in weighing, measuring, compounding, and medicine manufacturing.
  • Expertise in preparing infusions and injections with a focus on safety and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to dispense medicines accurately.
  • Standard keyboard skills for using the Pharmacy computer system and other software.
  • Ability to undertake medicines management duties on wards.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safe systems of working in Pharmacy.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety at work, including COSHH and Manual Handling.
  • Current understanding of issues facing Pharmacy technical services within the NHS.
