Role: Locum Pharmacy Technician (ACT or MMT Wards)
Banding: Band 4/5
Location: Southampton
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Full-time, 6-9 Months
Rate: £15 – £22 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM to 17:00PM (variations negotiable)

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 4 to 5 Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medicines management and will work on the wards. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to patient care in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will provide medicines management support on the wards, ensuring accurate dispensing and checking of medications. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience/Knowledge:
    • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
    • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
    • Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting.
    • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACTPT) certification.
    • Medicines Management qualifications.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
    • Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
