We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist or Associate Practitioner with histology experience to join our esteemed client in Cambridgeshire. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of histology tests and procedures. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, which are critical for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a broad spectrum of histology tests, including microtomy and section cutting within a diagnostic lab. You will maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, and ensure strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex test results with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in histology.
  • Capability in microtomy and section cutting within a diagnostic lab.
  • HCPC registration (for Biomedical Scientist roles).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field (for Biomedical Scientist roles).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
