The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is actively seeking aBand 4/5/6 Biomedical Scientist in Histologyto join a busy laboratory in Buckinghamshire. We are looking for a dedicated professional who can significantly contribute to our cellular histology service, particularly in proficient microtomy.
As a Band 4/5/6 Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you will perform microtomy with precision, achieving high-quality sectioning at a rate of over 30 blocks per hour. You will oversee embedding and staining processes, ensuring compliance with established protocols. Implementing quality control measures and supporting senior biomedical scientists in delivering comprehensive histology services will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will provide training and mentorship to junior staff, maintain accurate documentation of laboratory activities, and assist in preparing reports for stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations by participating in risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment is also essential.
