Band 3 – Pharmacy Assistant – London

Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Banding: Band 3
Location: London
Start: ASAP
Duration: 1 month with possible extension
Rate: £12 – £16 Per Hour
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispensing medications
2. Managing stock levels
3. Providing essential support to pharmacists and healthcare professionals
4. Assisting in the preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical supplies to wards, clinics, and other areas
5. Ensuring stock is rotated correctly and remains in date
6. Handling data entry and maintaining accurate records
7. Performing general housekeeping tasks within the pharmacy
8. Interacting with patients, addressing their queries, and ensuring they receive the correct medications promptly and efficiently

Qualifications and Experience:

• GCSEs or equivalent in science subjects
• Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
• Preferred experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Flexibility to work in various lab sections
• Detail-oriented and methodical approach
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Physically fit for standing and lifting tasks
