Job description
Overview

Birmingham Community Healthcare Foundation Trust Community Dental Services has an exciting vacancy for a Patient Services Administrator, based in the Oral Surgery/Oral Medicine/Primary Care Department at the Birmingham Dental Hospital. The role may require working across sites when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to patients, including booking appointments, issuing letters, answering patient queries, coordinating outpatient clinics and supporting clinical colleagues.
  • Work within one of four Specialty Management Groups to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective administrative service to meet the Trust's patient waiting time targets and enhance patient experience.
  • Work flexibly within the dental team to provide high quality dental care for a wide spectrum of patients.
  • Carry out clerical and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the dental service. Manage own workload and develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of all services within Specialty Management Groups to handle service-related queries.
  • Be multi-skilled and multi-tasked; rotate with other team members to provide cover across other Specialty Management Groups as required.
