Job summary

Le Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust recherche un Assistant en Thérapie Occupationnelle Band 3 pour rejoindre l’équipe des Services Sécurisés des Femmes. Le candidat retenu gérera un petit cas de références individuelles, co-animera des programmes de thérapie et soutiendra les utilisateurs de services à travers leur parcours de soins, tout en travaillant au sein d'une équipe multidisciplinaire engagée à offrir des services de santé mentale de qualité au sein d'une communauté diversifiée.

Responsibilities

  • Gérer un petit cas de références individuelles supportant l'engagement de récupération des utilisateurs de services.
  • Co-animer des programmes de thérapie planifiés axés sur l'amélioration des compétences en communication, cognitives et de la vie.
  • Représenter les avis des utilisateurs de services dans la prestation de thérapie alignée avec la stratégie de récupération de la clinique.
  • Soutenir les utilisateurs de services dans le transfert des compétences vers les environnements communautaires.
  • Contribuer aux évaluations par l'observation, la communication et la tenue de dossiers précis.
  • Maintenir des dossiers cliniques et des données précises.
  • Promouvoir les services d'OT et soutenir les visiteurs du département.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Ardenleigh Women’s Secure Blended Service team. The successful applicant will join an established Occupational Therapy Service, which aims to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to service users with complex needs.

This Job Offers The Opportunity To
  1. Take referrals from Occupational Therapists to deliver individually planned, occupation-focused programs and groups supporting service users with complex needs to progress through their care journey. Treatment focuses on developing skills and knowledge to improve overall functioning and quality of life.
  2. Enhance skills in various specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, goal-oriented, focusing on developing positive routines, addressing motivation difficulties, and supporting individuals in developing self-management skills to maximize independence.
  3. Work flexibly.
  4. Receive support for staff wellbeing and encouragement of work/life balance.
  5. Collaborate with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  6. Demonstrate values of compassion, commitment, and inclusivity.
  7. Empower individuals to access community resources that support social, employment, educational, and recreational needs and goals.
Under supervision of Occupational Therapists, the post holder will be expected to:
  1. Manage a small caseload of individual referrals supporting service users' recovery engagement.
  2. Co-facilitate planned therapy programs aimed at improving communication, cognitive, and life skills.
  3. Represent service users’ views in therapy delivery aligned with the clinic’s recovery-focused strategy.
  4. Support service users in transferring skills to community settings.
  5. Contribute to assessments through observation, communication, and accurate record-keeping.
  6. Maintain accurate clinical records and data.
  7. Promote OT services and support visitors to the department.
  8. Engage in personal development through the Trust ADR process and maintain a positive attitude towards supervision.
