Responsibilities

  • Work within a contact centre area of the outpatients appointment department.
  • Support patients callers with appointment enquiries.
  • Escalate to different stakeholders within the trust.
  • Deliver good patient experience.
  • Behave courteously towards patients and other staff.
  • Keep the allocated work area clean and tidy.
  • Liaise with other departments for smooth service running.
  • Participate as a team member within the outpatient appointment centre.
  • Suggest service improvements to line manager.
  • Attend work as per agreed hours.
Job description
Responsibilities and duties
  • Work within a contact centre area of the outpatients appointment department
  • Support patients callers with appointment enquiries

  • Deliver good patient experience
  • Behave in a courteous manner towards patients and other staff at all times in a patient‑focussed role
  • Keep the allocated work area clean and tidy during and at the end of the working day and lock away or shred all information containing patient information in line with department guidelines
  • liaise with other departments in the Trust to ensure smooth running of the outpatient service
  • Participate as a team member within the outpatient appointment centre to ensure delivery of departmental objectives to a high standard
  • Continue to strive to improve the service and make suggestions to line manager as necessary
  • Attend work as per hours agreed with the Outpatient Appointment Centre Manager
