Job Title: Medical Laboratory Assistant

Location: Coventry, Warwickshire

Banding: Band 3

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Rate: £13 – £14 per hour

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Band 3 Medical Laboratory Assistant to join their team in Coventry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a clinical laboratory setting, supporting essential diagnostic services. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring the smooth handling of patient samples.

Responsibilities
  1. Receiving, labelling, and preparing patient samples for analysis
  2. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring specimens are processed according to laboratory protocols
  3. Assisting Biomedical Scientists with routine tasks
  4. Managing sample storage and disposal
  5. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to follow procedures are essential.
