Banding: Band 3
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Working Pattern: Full-time/Part-time
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM – 17:00PM
Rate: Day: £13 – £15 per hour

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experiencedSenior Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the clinical trial medicines dispensed to patients recruited to clinical trials within the Trust.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the dispensing of clinical trial medicines to patients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and record-keeping.
  • Maintain stock control and supply systems.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, including manual handling and COSHH.
  • Deliver a cost-effective service and implement work practices to reduce waste.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Post NVQ level 2 qualification with developmental experience in a range of dispensing.Formal training and annual revalidated accreditation as a dispenser.Understanding of pharmacy-related computer systems.Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work, manual handling, and COSHH.
  • Desirable: Proficiency in dispensing, stock control, and supply systems and processes.Knowledge of stock control systems and code of practice/customer care.Commitment to delivering a cost-effective service and reducing waste.
