Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant for a Band 3 position supporting vulnerable young people with eating difficulties. This role involves basic nursing care and specialized support for children and adolescents in Liverpool’s leading pediatric hospital.
The ideal candidate will hold a Care Certificate, NVQ Level 3 in healthcare or equivalent experience, with English and Maths GCSE grades A-C or equivalent. Previous healthcare experience and familiarity with working with young people facing eating challenges are essential.

Supporting a specialist inpatient service for children with complex mental health issues, the role involves assisting in assessments, therapeutic activities, and providing a safe environment.
Under supervision, support children’s care needs, contribute to clinical reports, participate in therapy groups, and assist with activities and outings aligned with treatment goals.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of the environment, and support team members, including mentoring new staff.
