Job summary

Band 3 Health Instructor at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based at the Juniper Centre in Birmingham. Salary £25,760–£27,476 per annum, pro rata, with yearly pay and closing date 14/10/2026.

You will work under supervision within the Physical Therapies Health Instructor team, deliver group and one-to-one physical activity sessions for service users with mental health needs, coordinate ward activities, and maintain

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering physical activity /exercise groups.
• English literacy level 2 is required.
• Reps level 2 Gym Instructor or equivalent and NVQ level 3 are essential qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate group activities within the ward environment and provide one-to-one sessions with service users.
• Liaise with MDT team and keep accurate patient records.
• Receive regular supervision; training and development will be provided.
