Mpa Recruitment seeks a Family Time Support Worker to assist qualified social workers in supporting families. Responsible for promoting family-time and engaging with various parties in children's lives, this role requires relevant qualifications and experience in social care. Working hours are primarily Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, with potential for additional hours.
MPA Recruitment are working in partnership with the local health and social care trust to recruit Band 3 Family Time Support Workers for the Portadown Area.
The post holder’s primary role is to provide support to qualified social workers in carrying out their responsibilities when working with children and their families.
The Family Time Support Worker will assist in promoting family-time between the child and his/her parents; any person who has parental responsibility for the child; any relative or friend or other person connected with the child, at a range of venues.
Family Time Support Worker will be fully briefed on the circumstances of individual cases via Supervision of Family Time Agreement. They will be made aware of the issues and risks and the level of family time and whether they are required to actively engage with the birth family in tasks according to the Family Time Agreement.
1. NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in a care-related subject*and1 years’ experience working in a social care role
OR
NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 in a care-related subjectand2 years’ experience working in a social care role
OR
4 GCSEs (Grades A-C)and3 years’ experience working in a social care role.
*For those who do not hold Level 3, should be willing to complete Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Support
Be registered with the NISCC on the Social Care part of the register at the time of appointment or be eligible for immediate registration within a reasonable timescale prior to taking up post.
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm 37.5 hrs per week
**primarily however there may be occasions when the worker will be working outside of those hours**
