Band 2 Hotel Services Assistant - Devizes

Saturday and Sunday 10:00 - 18:00 (15 hours per week).

The successful post holder(s) will provide cleaning and catering services to our Service Users, Staff, and Visitors across our Wards and Departments.

You will work as part of an established team providing comprehensive Hotel Services across the Hospital.

Main duties of the job

1. Cleaning - Cleaning all hospital areas, including bedrooms with en-suite facilities, bathrooms, day rooms, lounges, corridors, offices, and other ward areas.
2. Catering - Preparing and serving lunch and evening meals, handling, reheating, and serving cook-freeze meals, making light snacks (salads, sandwiches, beverages), and cleaning the ward kitchen and dining area.
3. Other duties - Waste handling and disposal, periodic cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing and curtain changes.

Job responsibilities

1. Housekeeping - Cleaning to NHS standards, completing cleaning records, reporting concerns, adhering to infection control policies, and operating cleaning equipment safely.
2. Catering - Receiving, storing, reheating, and serving meals, monitoring food temperatures, and washing utensils.
3. General - Managing stock, reporting maintenance issues, conducting water outlet flushing, maintaining high personal hygiene standards, and ensuring confidentiality.
