Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is recruiting a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join the Grange University Hospital and Royal Gwent Hospital teams in Medicine or Surgery. The role involves working within a caring team to deliver patient‑focused care and will require flexibility across a 12‑hour shift pattern.

Applicants should have NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or at least 6 months’ care experience, with excellent written and verbal communication and good computer skills.

Qualifications

Health Care Support Worker within ABUHB at the Grange University Hospital and the Royal Gwent Hospital working within the Medicine or Surgery Division.

An exciting opportunity has become available within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board as a Health Care Support Worker to join our caring and professional nursing team

To be eligible to apply, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care obtained within a Health and Social Care setting; or
• Have at least 6 months’ experience working in a domiciliary care setting.

Please note that this role will require you to be fully flexible so that you are able to cover rotational shifts that includes days, nights and weekends.

Currently we are unable to provide certificates of sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the Home Office’s criteria. Anyone requiring a certificate of sponsorship is therefore unable to be shortlisted and interviewed
